The rides and attractions we provide
We supply an exciting range of attractions to suit every type of event: modern adrenaline experiences, major aerial attractions, vintage amusements, traditional funfair rides, roller coasters, giant wheels, children’s merry-go-rounds, funhouses, inflatables, games and catering units. We even have a mobile stage and a mobile bar with indoor seating! If there is somethings specific that you would like, please do ask, as we will always do our best to secure it for you! On the other hand, if you don’t know where to begin, leave it to us - we know what works!
Where to begin
The more details that you can provide us with about the event the better. Once we have the information we need, we can look into the feasibility of implementing a fairground at the event. We will also be able to tell which attractions may be suitable and provide you with options.
The information we need: date(s) of the event, location/venue, type of event, target age group, estimated attendance figures, number of years the event has been running, other activities and entertainment at the event, how the event is being advertised, is the event ticketed or free entry? If you don’t have all the answers just yet, don’t worry!
Usually, we are provided with a space within the venue which has been designated as the Fairground area, which we would then fill with appropriate attractions (sometimes it is a series of pitches around the event site). This is the easiest option for event organisers as it places all the hard work in our hands! However, some event organisers prefer to take a more active role in the management of the Fairground and make specific requests for the attractions that they want.
If your event is quite small - your options
For small events (less than 5000 visitors), it may not be financially viable to operate a full fairground. It may be that just a few attractions would be more suitable. Alternatively, you are able to hire the attractions that you want for a set fee, charging the public a fare - all of which would be retained by you (or if you’re feeling generous, you can of course allow your visitors to ride for free!)
For school fetes, small galas etc. we would usually only be able to offer the set hire fee option, due to expense involved in travel, set-up and running costs.
Health & Safety
We operate within the regulations set out by HSE in Fairgrounds & Amusement Parks - Guidance on Safe Practice HSG 175. Better Rides’ attractions carry full ADIPS safety certification, risk assessments and public liability insurance. All health and safety paperwork is available to clients upon request. The attractions are transported, set-up/dismantled, operated and fully staffed by our team.
Let’s begin!
